Osteopathy in Chester for Children and Adults.
My practice provides osteopathy and cranial osteopathy in a welcoming place in Chester for both children and adults. I offer appointments for all ages on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays with a specialist Children's Clinic on some Saturdays.
PLEASE NOTE:
As I'm winding down into retirement, I'm not taking on any Adult New Patients and will cease treating adults completely by end of January 2024. I hope to continue to see my paediatric patients until Autumn/Winter 2024 to follow growth and development. ,
Booking can be done online via the link on the right hand side of this page or you can ring, text or email. I do operate a waiting list system -leave me a message if you want to be added.
COVID 19
COVID-19 HEALTH AND SAFETY
UPDATE: From May 2022, PPE measures have been relaxed as directed by the Institute of Osteopathy so that masks are no longer required to be worn by osteopath or patient. I shall still be maintaining the same sanitising and ventilating as before and will happily wear a mask if you wish me to. For the time being, I'm continuing to send out a brief infection form before the appointment.
Deirdre Stubbs BSc (Hons), DO (Hons), MSCCO
As a Cheshire based Registered Osteopath, I provide osteopathy and cranial osteopathy for people of all ages to help with a range of problems such as :-
- back pain,
- neck pain,
- headaches and
- muscle tension
- and many other conditions (see What conditions can Osteopathy help).
My aim is to understand the sequence of events which has led to the development of symptoms and support you back to health. My individual diagnosis and osteopathic treatment, using a highly developed sense of touch, will gently restore normal movement to the joints and muscles and return your body to a state of mechanical balance.
I'm registered with the General Osteopathic Council and since qualifying as an osteopath in 1983 I've developed a particular interest in using the gentle, subtle and effective technique of Cranial Osteopathy to treat individuals from the very youngest babies and children (see Babies and Children) to the elderly. My treatment approach also includes other osteopathic techniques such as soft tissue massage and joint articulation with postural and exercise advice tailored to you. If you would like to know whether your particular condition is suitable for osteopathic treatment please contact me.
I maintain good relationships with local conventional medical and complementary health practitioners and, with your consent, may refer you to your GP or to other health care providers if necessary.
